Privacy Policy
Bel Faith Ventures ("we," "us," "our") is a family-owned holding company. Its affiliated companies are Bel Fence, Faithful Stays, Ophanim AI, Rooted in Christ Florals, Ironvale Construction Group, and our wedding and event venue. This policy explains what information this website and our private internal business tools handle, how we use it, how we protect it, and how it is retained and deleted. Where an affiliated company publishes its own privacy policy, that policy also applies to that company's services.
1. Information we handle
- This website. This site has no accounts, sign-up forms, advertising, or analytics trackers, and it sets no cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. If you choose a color theme, that preference is saved only in your own browser.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you choose to include.
- Bank account and transaction data for our own business accounts, retrieved on a read-only basis through Plaid when an authorized member of our team connects an account.
- Business records such as expenses, receipts, invoices, and payments that we enter or forward for bookkeeping.
- Customer and vendor details needed to do business with you, such as names, contact information, and job or order details.
2. How we use it
Only to run our businesses: bookkeeping, reconciling income and expenses, tax preparation, serving customers, and answering your messages. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. Access is limited to the family members and team members who need it for their role.
3. Plaid and bank connections
We use Plaid Inc. to connect securely to our financial institutions on a read-only basis. We cannot move money through this connection. Bank login credentials are entered directly into Plaid's secure flow and are never seen or stored by us. Plaid's handling of data is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
4. How we protect it
- Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and is stored with established cloud providers. Reaching it requires a login.
- Logins are role-based, so each person sees only what their role needs. Passwords and access keys are kept in our hosting provider's protected settings, never in our code.
- We use multi-factor authentication on our administrative and infrastructure accounts and are extending it to every account that can reach this data.
- Bank access through Plaid is read-only and token-based.
5. Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers, each of which processes data only to provide its service to us: Plaid (bank connectivity), Railway (website and application hosting), our cloud file-storage provider, our business email provider, and an AI service that reads receipts and bills so we can record them.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep financial and business records only as long as we need them to run our businesses and meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations. For tax records this is generally up to 7 years, consistent with IRS guidance. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized. A connected bank account can be disconnected at any time, which stops further data retrieval, and on request we will delete the stored transaction data associated with it. We review these retention and deletion practices periodically.
7. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

To ask what information we hold about you, or to request a correction, deletion, or bank disconnection, email matthew@belfaithventures.com. We respond within a reasonable time.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version.
